Simon Cahill

Simon-Cahill.jpgSimon qualified in 2003 from the University of Brighton and has worked in the NHS for 10 years specialising in the areas of nail surgery and podiatric musculoskeletal problems before taking up the joint role of Clinical Podiatry Manager and Senior Lecturer at Brighton University.

Simon has gained the Postgraduate Certificate of Podiatric Theory and passed the fellowship in surgery of the college of podiatrists Part A examination in March 2007 and is currently finishing his MSc Principles of Podiatric Surgery.  He is researching the effectiveness of the Scarf/Akin osteotomy for hallux valgus surgery.

He is an active member of the Nail Surgery and clinical educators Expert Reference Group’s and has a lead role in external clinical placements.

Outside of work Simon enjoys most sports but is especially keen on football.
